Chae Yeon

Chae Yeon is a Korean singer currently active in the Korean pop music scene. However, her claim to fame began in Japan in the girl group, Brand New Biscuits. Later she also joined a girl band named the Ultracats under the name "Jinny."

She had a very sexy image when she debuted as Chae Yeon in Korea (her real name is Lee Jin Suk). Because of this it was doubtful that she would be successful, but she proved to be a great dancer and a decent singer which shot up her popularity by the time of her 2nd album. She debuted in 2003 with an album entitled It's My Name. Since her debut she has released a total of 3 albums. Her most success came when she released "Two of Us" as part of her second album, topping the Korean pop charts. The music video for "Two of Us" was deemed too racy and was banned from some TV stations in Korea (it exposed her underwear and back and she did a lap dance).

Chae Yeon now is a frequent contestant on reality TV shows where she has had some romantic connections to other Korean pop stars like Kim Jong Kook, Lee Seung Gi, and others. You can see her on shows like X-men and Love Letter (where she is a frequent guest).
